For Christophe Nolin garden memories take roots in his childhood. In Corsica, during the Summer holidays he used to play in the maquis. A wild and spontaneous nature offering a unique perfume. It is a strong memory of sweet scents: incomparable wild lavender, mysterious immortelle, mythical Myrtle. Hot and intensive fragrances have marked his mind. There is also the terrace garden perfumed with fresh and strong scents of the fig tree. In Provence, in his grandfather kitchen garden, he discovered the feeding side of the garden and inherits the gardener’s attitude.
The garden also refers to past farm holidays in Brittany. With the farmer he follows every day, he learns how to observe the nature. "The farmer is the gardener of the landscape, he explains." He knows how to analyze the nature of the soil, the flight of birds, the influence of the moon… He has an instinct for nature.”
With François Gillot, he creates contrasted, structured and spontaneous gardens but also flowered and greedy and always delicately perfumed.
François’ first garden memories date back to his childhood. Colors and scents from southern France took him to experience gardening for the first time, helped by his uncle.
His passion grows quickly as he visits several famous gardens, such as Claude Monet’s Giverny garden. In his opinion, a garden must be a haven of peace, a place where the visitor can find harmony, inner peace and serenity.
He is convinced that any conceptor of a garden has a personal vision of paradise in mind.
With Christophe Nolin, he let his passion express itself creating luxurious and structured gardens where everyone can feel good.
